Denver Aquarium

Grandma, Mylee, Michelle and I all went to the Denver Aquarium. Mylee really likes fish and enjoyed every minute of the aquarium. Here is a pic of Mylee and Grandma.

I ordered a croissant sandwhich thinking it would be a regular sized croissant but it was giant. Wow!

My Mom and sister Michelle ordered the same thing for lunch which was grilled chicken fettucine alfredo with garlic toast.

Mylee and I went deep sea diving.

Michelle and Mylee looking at fish on the celing. Cool huh!

I saw this bald eagle and totally flipped out because I thought it was real. Then I realized it was animatronic.

Mylee and Nyree looking at a huge fish tank. She was loving it!

Mylee wanted a closer look at the fish so I boosted her up to take a look. Oddly enough she didn't try to touch the fish.

This is our uber jumbo fish. He was massive!

These are different colored starfish.

Mylee, Nyree and Michelle in our bubble cave looking at fish but actually looking at Mom taking the picture.

I thought this fish was cool because he was missing his right eye. If you look closely you can only see the eye socket.

Mylee and I decided to climb into some surrounding branches. Aren't we cute together.

I leaned Mylee over the fish tank like I did before but this time she put her hand in the tank. It freaked her out and she is holding up a wet hand to be dried off. It was really kind of funny.

Mylee and Grandma stopped to rest.

Isn't this shark Awesome! I can't believe I got this shot. Mylee was fascinated by this shark and followed it around. She sat face to face with the shark. Mylee is fearless.

At the end of our journey we got the opportunity to pet a sting ray. It rocked. This is a pic of my Mom's hand petting the sting ray.

Nationals Vs. Braves

My Dad was able to acquire some box seats at the baseball game today. Here we are at the Stadium before the game started.

It started a little late due to rain. It rained on us once more and hailed on us after that. Then it got really cold and we just and to bear with it. I was all bundled up.

Well Laynce Nix came up to bat it was his first time up to bat in his career. He hit a line drive foul ball off a 92 mph pitch and it came straight towards us. We were sitting a little to the left of home plate.

My Dad caught that ball with his left hand bare handed and it ended up bruising his hand. I will get a picture of that later and add it on but for now this is the pic you get. The other two people in the picture with my Dad are Marissa and Seth Whitaker. She is the Seminary teacher in Bell Haven Ward. The other family ward in our area. He came away with a game ball and a bruise to prove it.

Then of course I had to have a hot dog and a soda. They were Awesome hotdogs and it was a Barques Root Beer. So delicious.

Also during a Nationals Game their is what they call a "President's Run". 4 people dress up like 4 Presidents of the United States and they have huge heads and normal size bodies. It is funny to watch them run. Well this game they were on tandem bikes. I got the camera out late and had a problem with the shutter it didn't open all the way. But I hope you can somewhat see what they had to do.

Bean Bag Mess

My Mom and I were trying to make bean bags this morning. We got to filling the second one and my Mom decided to use a funnel to get the rocks into our bean bag easier. Well the rocks jammed the funnel. Then my Mom tried to tap the funnel to release the rocks and ended up tapping the cup of rocks right out of my hand. They went absolutely everywhere. So my equation goes like this:
Mom + Nyree + Funnel = Big Mess

Life

I was told I needed to update my blog so here it is. I am still out in Virginia living with my family. I have started a second job. It is not full time which I am greatful for because if it was I would have no life outside of work. So anyways, I am now a substitute teacher here in the Fairfax County Public School system. I am trying to grab only PE jobs to help me gain access to this field. I have done a social studies class along with an art class. They were okay but I subbed for PE the other day and I loved it. Some of the kids tried to pull the wool over my eyes but I saw right through them. I am hoping I can get more PE jobs here soon. I still lifeguard and teach swim lessons. I am a little over halfway done with the session I am currently teaching. My 1st class has one little girl in it and she has made a huge improvement. Then my 2nd class has 5 little rambuscious boys in it. I'm sure my class looks very chaotic at times but they are all improving on their skills. That is also a hard class because the boys are 3 different levels and not just the one I am supposed to be teaching. I do my best. My sister Michelle and her daughter Mylee are coming for a visit on the 15th and are staying about a week. My family and I are very excited.

I'm not dating anyone but would really like to be. I signed up with my sister onto ldssingles.org. No matter how many flirts or messages I send out I get very few in return. The guys in my ward don't ask you out and I'm tired of asking them out. I've asked a few people out in my ward and for the most part they've accepted and then found an excuse to get out of it later. I have trouble getting to a lot of the activites because I work until 2030 and by the time I drive to the activity it will be over so I don't even try going anymore. My little brother Michael is doing aweseom in Brazil. He is having a most wonderful time. I am helping my mom get all the Christmas packages ready. We have two families to mail to and each family will be getting multiple boxes.

That's what happens when everybody can't be home for the holidays. Krista is home for this Christmas so I am stoked about that. I have her some very cool gifts I know she will enjoy. That's all for now. I will try to add a few pictures because one long paragraph is just plain boring. Have a most excellent day. I think I am getting sick. I have been sneezing all morning and have had a stuffy nose. I'm tyring to take my vitamin C because I can't afford to be sick right now.

Here is the most recent picture of me.

American Accents

Found this clip while browsing the internet. I thought it was quite funny just because I love to see people change their accent. I wish I could do some other accent especially a New Zealand accent. I tried and tried while I was over there but all my companions just picked up my American accent. Funny huh. Well here you go.

Triathlon

My sister Michelle once again is Amazing! One of my life dreams was to participate in a Triathlon. My sister found one that was being held in her area in Colorado Springs, CO and had me sign up with her. It was called the Tri Creek Sprint Triathlon. It was through the Cherry Creek Park in Aurora, CO.

We swam 800 meters.

The water was freezing cold. Well a mere 60 degrees. We were one of the only few who did not have a wet suit. I felt bad for the gentleman who only was wearing a Speedo.

We Biked 13 miles.

I had to help my little sister out with that one because she was not able to practice on a real bike. I was helping her switch gears and giving her encouragement to climb up the one side of the hill and fly down the other side.

We Ran/Walked 5k.

Now Michelle probably could have kicked my booty but she stayed with me the whole way giving me the encouragement I needed to finish the race.

We had an Awesome experience! I absolutely loved it. Our official time was 2 hours and 39 minutes. We crossed within seconds of each other.

I got asked the question the other day if I would do it again and my response is Absolutely! I now know what I need to do. I definitely need to train harder on the running and do more running outside instead of on the treadmill.

My Awesome mother came to enjoy this expereince with us and to give a helping hand.

My sisters husband Doug Bemis and her little girl Mylee Bemis also came along for support.

Grandma and Mylee playing in the sunshine.

Triathlon's ROCK!

Bicycle Built for 2

My younger sister Michelle and I have always wanted to ride a bicycle built for 2. Well I traveled up to her in Rexburg, ID and we rented a bike and made one of our dreams come true. We had a blast riding it around town. Now here is a video of us riding the bike around the parking lot when we first got it. We disappear for a moment but don't worry we will come back into the frame soon enough.
