Best Friends

My mom and I bought this shirt that I am wearing. We thought it would be really funny. I wore it on the last day of our family reunion. My whole extended family thought it was funny because it is me and that is a Nyree thing to do. We then went down to Provo. My mom, dad and I went out shopping and I guess I had a lot of girls staring at me. I was oblivious but my dad was not. He said the boys just shrugged it off. Well later that night my best friend Lena Starr (Johnson) came to visit and we took a picture. It was then I realized how funny I looked. Now it really proves she is my best friend for life. Who else would take a picture with me sporting this A Wesome shirt.

Virginia Snow

Well the news and weather channels kept telling us that we had a huge snow storm coming and that we should prepare ourselves. Everyone we talked to kept saying the same thing but neither my mom nor I believed them. Then guess what? IT HAPPENED! Our cars were covered with snow.

This is my Dad waving to the camera. We broke out our beanies and big heavy coats so that we could enjoy the snow.

My mom and I were trying to clean the snow off the trampoline. It was really hard but very fun.

The first video is of my mom and I falling into the snow and me making a snow angel. We also tried to have a snowball fight but the snow did not pack. It was just powder snow which did nothing. We had fun attempting to have a snowball fight anyway.

The second video is of me trying to jump on the trampoline and when that didn't work I tried to clean it off. That wasn't working very well either so we quit and came inside. Well as you will soon see jumping on the trampoline wasn't the smartest thing to do. I got snow in all sorts of places. Fun Stuff!

Mylee Ann

Mylee Ann is the newest member of our family. My sister Michelle gave birth to her on 7 October 2009. She weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is a beautiful baby. More pictures will be coming soon.

IMAX

3-D movies are great but have you ever been to one in the IMAX theatre. The glasses eat your face. Well not really but they are so big in comparison to me and my face that it looks really goofy. Here is a photo of my mom and I sporting our IMAX 3-D glasses.

Il Divo

Il Divo is my favorite operatic group right now. It consists of four men who have the most beautiful voices. Well I found out that they were going to be in the DC area after I got back from University. I called my mom up and had her get us some tickets. Il Divo was the first live concert I have ever been to in my life and it was Amazing.

They sung two of my favorite songs by them which are "Mama" and "Amazing Grace". They also sung to us new songs which was wonderful. My mom and I had a really fun time. We received to Encores at the end which was the best ever. We bought a program as well as matching t-shirts. They are Awesome! I would love to go to another concert by them. It was so much fun.

When we came out of the concert and into the parking lot that was funny because we forgot where we had parked our car. We were in my Dads car so eventually we pushed the panic button to find out where it was located. There were a lot of panic buttons going off that night so we weren't the only ones. Here are a few pics we were able to capture by our cell phones. Not the best quality but it means a lot to me. Also posted is a video so you may here one of their songs. Have a great day.

White Lie

In my spare time with my parents we like to sit down and watch TV. One, it gives us a break from our days activities and two we enjoy spending that time together with each other. Now if any of you have ever watched a movie or a TV show with me you know that I cannot be quiet. Well same with my Mom. Oh I'm sure my Dad absolutely loves our comments. Well we have fun talking to each other none the less. One of the programs we watch is called Lie to Me. This show had a song this time that I thought was A Wesome! So I found it on youtube so that I may post it for those of you who actually read my blog. Hope you enjoy.

Merry Swiftmas

I heard a part of this song on the radio this morning and when I got home from work I had to check it out. It is called Merry Swiftmas. Evan Taubenfeld wrote this song to Taylor Swift and I think it is absolutely Fabulous. I hope you listen and like it as well.

Muisc Video

I was shown this video a couple of years ago. I always get a laugh when I see it. I felt I needed to share this video to anyone and everyone who views my blog. What do you think?

Rainy Days

As many of you know I work as the head lifeguard at an outdoor pool. The other day we had a cloudy and rainy day. It never rained hard but just sprinkled throughout the whole day. In the middle of our work day we found ourselves without any customers. So the guards who work for me decided to get in the water and build a contraption with the many floats that we have at our pool. Then they tried to move it somewhere which turned out to be very exciting.

Gummy Bears

So while out and about one day my mom, younger brother Michael and I found this huge gummy bear. My mom and I are taking a bite out of him. He was cherry flavored and very delicious. Along with these pictures is a link to a video on youtube. Michael showed me this video and I found it to be very fitting. Hope you enjoy.

Contacts

My Mom and my little brother Michael had just tried on a bunch of colored contacts so that they could order themselves some colored contacts. Well my Mom brought home some sample pairs and talked my younger sister Michelle and I into letting them put some different colors in our eyes. After seeing how long it took Mom and Mike to put one contact in Michelle's eye I did not want any of that but as you can see they got a different color in each eye. A blue and a green contact. I look strange but cool as the same time. If you were wondering I have blue eyes. My younger sister Michelle has brown eyes. Never again will either of us put a contact or have a second person put a contact in our eye. Good thing I don't need glasses right.

Memorial Day Weekend

On this delightful Holiday weekend I was asked to work on the opening day of one of the swimming pools her are the Army Post I work at. I was working at the Officers Club. I don't know how the weather was elsewhere but in Virginia it was HOT!!! As you can see in the photo I was burnt to a crisp. Yes, I put sunscreen on about every hour and this still happened. My skin wasn't used to this much sun at one time. What a way to start my summer. You can even see where my whistle laid around my neck on the second photo.

Even my feetsies got fried. :D

Home Sweet Home

We did it! We are home at last safe and sound. We had a wonderful journey across the United States. We started in Utah and made it to Virginia. Most of all our car made it safe and sound with all the stuff we had piled inside.

3rd Leg of Trip

This next stop was only for a night. In order to get to Ohio we had to go through 3 other states. We drove through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. We spent the night at my sister-in-laws parents house. The Nufer home which was very welcoming. Daddy Nufer made sure that we had a good home cooked meal which was pork chops, a baked potato, corn, applesauce, and strawberry swirl icecream with chocolate sauce. Before we went to bed Mommy Nufer made sure we knew where the bathroom was and set out clean sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels with wash cloths. Michael and I woke up and played around with the putter and golf balls for a bit. We ate some cereal for breakfast then took off for the last leg of our journey to go home.

2nd Leg of Travels

Well we have made it to Missouri to visit my Mom's side of the family. We got there late Friday night to my Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda's house.

My Aunt Linda

They woke us up at 8 the next morning so we could get ready to go to breakfast with some of our other Aunts and Uncles. At breakfast I had a belgian waffle with a scrambled egg and 3 pieces of bacon with one large glass of chocolate milk. It was Amazing. Michael decided to order a stack of pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage. We had a fun time visiting with our Aunts and Uncles. Afterwards we went our separate ways to get things done during the day. Then we all met up again later that night to have a BBQ at my Uncle Mike's place. We sat on the patio and enjoyed ourselves. My Uncle Vandy and Aunt Pat joined us for dinner.

Uncle Vandy

Later my Uncle Butch had us play Mille Borne. We played girls against guys. On the practice round the girls beat the pants off the guys but when we played the real game for points the girls were slaughterd. The girls team consisted of Aunt Pat, Butch's Linda, and Myself.

Uncle Butch and Linda

The boys were Uncle Butch, Uncle Vandy and Uncle Mike. Some of our cousins were there as well. Tara and Emily and their boyfriends Ryan and Brett respectively.

1st Leg of Travels

So, as many of you know that my little brother Michael and I are driving home this year instead of flying. We started our journey yesterday. We got a really late start but made it to Colorado Springs, Colorado. We headed out of Provo, Utah at 1400 it was only 5 hours off of our original departure time. We both had a ton of things that needed to be packed and it was a miracle that we got everything to fit into my 4 door car. We even had to strap my bike on the back on a rack. My poor little brother had to drive through a long tunnel. Unfortunately I was asleep for it but he got a portion of it recorded.

Everything went well in our driving. We are both safe and our loving our trip. We woke up late today and finally took a shower. We are clean just look at us beaming with cleanliness.

Also Michelle gave me my Christmas present. It is a gumball that takes pennies instead of quarters so I can save more money now.

That is it for now. We will update more tomorrow. My Mom gave me some advice before I left. She said, "Please be safe in your driving but most of all HAVE FUN!!!" Following is a clip of us taking this advice.

Not all Bleeps are Bad

My roommates showed me this video and I thought it was very funny. Than I showed it to Michael and Michelle and we couldn't stop laughing. I figured that those following my blog would also appreciate this movie. I hope that you all enjoy.

Haircuts Part 2

Continuing on--There needs to be an explanation for the last. For a while now I have been wanting to shave my head. You think why!?! I can't explain that I just know that I have wanted to for so long. I am finally out of University so I no longer needed to stick to a code. My little brother Michael helped me make the decision. So on Saturday the 21st of March Michael and I went and shaved our heads. I hope you enjoy looking at this montage of pictures.

Haircuts Part 1

Now this may sound strange but during this past year 2008 and up until now March 2009 I have sported quite a few different hair-dos. They started out really long and then got shorter as time went along. Here are the pictures of all the different hair styles I managed to show-off.

FUN

My niece Lia loved to do what is playing in this clip. It gave me great exercise and gave her a lot of enjoyment. I would let her stand on my hands and I would raise her high into the air with support from another family member her is my mom her grandma. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

New Years

My parents were also able to stay for the New Year. Our family tradition is to do a puzzle all throughout the Christmas time. We totally forgot until New Year's Eve. We found a puzzle to do and started it only a couple of hours before the New Year. Our goal was to finish by that time. We did and this is what it looked like finished. I put together the big Christmas tree. It was tons of fun. At midnight we drank our Bubbly tipped our glasses upside down over our heads to signify that you were done. The new year has come and how wonderful it is.

Christmas 2008

A lot happened over the Christmas holiday and I didn't even document it very well. My parents came into town because it was cheaper for them to fly in to Utah then to fly everybody out to Virginia. I got a couple of pictures of people napping especially my Dad and Mikayla. Also is a picture of Guitar Hero paused because all us kids received that as a Christmas gift and loved it to pieces we were always playing it.
